You’re going to love this new protein bite recipe! My favorite part about this particular recipe is that it is so versatile. Don’t you just love it when you can play with a recipe? Tell me I am not alone on this.

Personally, it’s one of the reasons I prefer cooking over baking. If you’re like me, you don’t dare just dump this or that when you’re baking muffins, scones, bread, cookies, or your other favorite dessert for fear of a complete flop. Yes, it’s happened to me more than once…most often I leave the baking to my mom!

I love making my own nut butter bites and I encourage you to check out my most popular recipe. But do try them all…and let me know your fave!

When making protein bites, you can definitely let your creativity come out. These are such fun to make so get your kiddos involved in the process!  Use your imagination when you’re ready to roll your bites!

For this particular recipe, I used a variety of seeds and sunflower butter verses nuts and other nut butter because I wanted to make them reset friendly. Of course, you can also use almond butter, cashew butter, or peanut butter if you prefer.

Have you ever tried using protein bites for long run fuel instead of gels? If you’re a marathon runner, you’ve probably experimented with fuel for your long runs. I happen to enjoy this protein bite on my long training runs mostly because I like the matcha tea for an added boost of energy. If you try these, let me know your thoughts!

Super Seed Protein Bars or Bites? You decide!

I’ve also made bars on occasion so if you’re pressed for time, press these into a 8×8 pan like I did in this recipes. Easy Peasy!
