Have you ever done a Cleanse? I mean a real true cleanse? If you’ve been following me on Instagram, facebook, or read this post or saw any of these posts, you may recall me chatting about the 5 Day Mini-Resets. To be perfectly honest, I was really nervous about starting this baby. 7 days without protein? Say what! I love my morning Energizing Smoothies or bowls. And no bullet proof coffee. Sadness! Runny Eggs.…more sadness. I don’t really like sweets that much but a piece of dark chocolate is my treat almost nightly.

Here is a run down of our results thus far: We’re both sleeping better. We both have a ton of energy, which I have anyhow, but it’s up a notch (or two). And the best part, so much more focus and clarity ALL DAY LONG! Woot woot!
I did cut back on my exercise regime quite a bit. Since I am not training for any race it’s perfect timing for this cleanse. However, I continue to run long every Friday (12 to 15 miles) but this week I felt a bit off. I only went about 6 miles and it was more of a walk/jog.
It is highly recommend to cut back on strenuous exercise so your body can really benefit from the cleanse. The first few days I seemed fine and I didn’t modify my runs or strength much. Since I am not eating anything beyond veggies and fruit, I was probably just low on fuel and I was content with a nice slow jog. Anyhow, I am excited to get back into my regular exercise routine come Monday.
As fas as weight loss. I continue to eat good healthy fats to minimize any weight loss. Avocados have been my best friend. As you can see from some of the pics, all of our meals have been delicious and I am eating almost every two hours. I did jump on the scale after my shortened long run this morning and was down about 4 pounds so I may add in a scoop of my favorite Plant Based Protein tomorrow, Day 6.
My husband on the other hand, is down 8 pounds and it’s only day 5. He honestly did need a kick in the butt if you know what I mean.
I also love getting messages from friends joining me on the cleanse.

CAULIFLOWER OATMEAL
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 medium head of cauliflower riced
- Coconut or olive oil
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1 packet of stevia
- Fresh fruit
DIRECTIONS:
- Warm your riced cauliflower in a saucepan with a little coconut oil.
- Add cinnamon (to you’re liking) and stevia.
- Serve warm with fresh berries.
