Last week I noticed I was getting low on my homemade Peanut Butter Protein Chocolate Bars and Matcha Bites. OH NO!
Like most active individuals, I also have a few of my favorite snack bars on hand for convenience, but I do enjoy being creative and making homemade snacks. In my last Azurestandard order, I received a big bag of Hemp Seeds. I love adding a tablespoon or two to my morning smoothies for an extra protein boost after harder workouts or longer runs.
I also ordered raw cocoa so you can probably guess where I am going with this since the title of this post is Simple Cocoa Brownie Bites ?.
If you haven’t used Hemps seeds I encourage you to grab a bag. They have so many health benefits. Since I eat plant based more often than most, I love that they have an abundance of protein. Also, they come in handy during my 5-day healthy resets since I avoid nuts for those five days. Hemp seeds are a great substitute ~ “In lieu of walnuts, use hemp seeds in your favorite brownie-nut recipe. They’ll not only add filling fiber and protein, but their natural nutty flavor is a strong stand-in for the real deal. Anyone with a nut allergy can appreciate that.”
