Thick, creamy, and healthy Pumpkin Cheesecake Protein Shake is sure to satisfy your pumpkin pie cravings! Personally I am not a pumpkin pie fan, but pumpkin cheesecake is another story. This shake is made with good-for-you ingredients and tastes delicious.
This Pumpkin Cheesecake Protein Smoothie is thick enough to eat with a spoon (but feel free to try a straw) and tastes just like my mom’s pumpkin cheesecake. But guess what, it’s also healthy enough for breakfast! This is made with real pumpkin, Pumpkin Spice protein powder, raw cashews, a date, and a frozen banana. However, I have also made this with frozen riced cauliflower and it’s just as tasty! Both add creaminess and creates the consistency of a real milkshake in a bowl.
As I mentioned in this post, it’s the perfect way to use up left over roasted pumpkin (or squash). Most often your recipe calls for a cup of pumpkin so instead of wasting the rest, you can whip up a smoothie. I promise you’ll want to roast extra pumpkin ALWAYS. This is soooo GOOD?!
I love fall. The air gets cooler, espeically in MN. The breeze pick ups a lot! Which means I get to wear all my favorite running hats, my warm fuzzy on the inside tights and most definitely, my gloves . Sweaters and boots become a thing again and pumpkin spice and all the pumpkin goodness is still a fave, even though it’s almost December!
Most of us all just finished celebrating one of American’s most treasured holidays, Thanksgiving. Like most everyone else, our gathering was much smaller than last year. But we definitley made the best of it.
My husband rocked the turkey again this year on his Green Egg. I made this roasted Brussels and Squash side dish, my brother brought his famous pheasant pot pie, and my mom of course makes the BEST stuffing in the entire world. Oh and I was more than excited about my Sourdough Olive and Sage Thanksgiving bread.
And yes, there was pumpkin pie. I love pumpkin spice, I could enjoy it every day…..except in pie??♀️.
Give it to me with this healthy pumpkin spice latte, these muffins, in these oats or these, omg sourdough pancakes, these smoothies, and – yep, THIS Pumpkin Cheesecake Protein Smoothie. (Told ya I LOVE pumpkin spice)
Because pumpkin spice + cheesecake + protein smoothie = my life goals. For realz. I shared this with my mom and she immediately was amazed how much healthy goodness could exist in one bowl. It’s loaded with protein & fiber. WOOT! Not your typical cheesecake for sure, but definitley a healthier option.
This was the perfect smoothie bowl for Thanksgiving morning! Or any morning to be perfectly honest! WHY?
- less than 10 minutes to make
- easy to grab and go
- high in protein and nutrients
- super yummers — I mean we’re talking about a pumpkin cheesecake protein smoothie right here and it’s mom approved friends. Yes.
Basically: protein smoothies rock. Plus cheesecake.
I may not have ran an official Turkey Trot race this year, but I am very THANKFUL I am healthy enough to run. I went 6 miles, completed a modified VIRTUAL Turkey Day Butts & Guts class, and enjoyed this delicious Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Smoothie bowl to tie me over till our feast late afternoon. I have so much to be thankful for!
