Blue spirulina must be one of the most vibrant ingredients nature has created! This blue spirulina smoothie bowl is blended with the most nourishing ingredients like frozen cauliflower rice, avocado chunks, spinach, creamy almond butter and my favorite vanilla vegan protein.
It’s no secret that I love my Smoothiese! They are so refreshing and a delicious way to get a boat load of healthy nutrients in one meal. In this bowl, the blue spirulina and veggies add some great health benefits, it’s loaded with over 20 grams of plant protein, while the blueberries add a natural sweetness without refined sugar. This bowl is so fun and easy to make and I love the naturally beautiful blue color 💙 !
Trust me, it was a refreshing & delicious way to enjoy a BEAUTIFUL Easter Sunday afternoon. Compared to last year, Easter 2021 was absolutely perfect.
We had lots of sunshine verses snow, in-person church verses virtual, and the best sourdough bagels EVER! If you happen to like bagels and you’re into sourdough like me, check out Bryan Ford’s new bagel recipe on his u-tube channel👇.
These bagels are EPIC and best of all easy to make. Just make sure you plan ahead since they need 48 hours in the fridge to proof. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be making homemade sourdough bagels. Store bought or commercialized bagels have never been one of my faves, but after making these for my husband last year, I discovered a new love for fresh out of the oven sourdough bagels.
Since it was just the four of us for Easter, (my mom, brother, my husband and I) I decided on a simple brunch of building your own bagel sandwiches. I used the above recipe for my bagels and they turned out perfect. Trust me, if I can make homemade bagels, anyone can!
If you have a sourdough starter, I highly recommend trying this recipe! SO YUMMY!
After brunch my husband and went for a walk and spent most of the afternoon outside. It was close to 80 degrees in the sun and luckily this beautiful warm weather carried over to Monday which made for another perfect day for a blue spirulina smoothie!
I seriously can’t think of a more vibrant and colorful ingredient than blue spirulina. It reminds me of a bright blue ocean in all it’s entirety! In fact, If I lived in the ocean like a mermaid I would be making blue spirulina smoothie bowls everyday. Do mermaids exist? Not sure, but what I do know I am happy to be hooked on spriulina.
Are you ready to make the most beautiful smoothie bowl ever?
