Looking for an easy Vegan Ice Cream to make at home that’s also high in protein?
I’d like to introduce you to a Banana Protein Nice Cream, a yummy healthy alternative to ice cream made with frozen green tipped bananas & other add-ins!
If you’re like most, you LOVE ice cream. If I had a choice between all desserts, I’d almost always choose ICE CREAM!
However, we all know ice cream is loaded with sugar and lots of fat. I’m also cutting back on dairy but even the non-dairy options out there have questionable Ingredients 🤷🏼♀️.
Don’t you worry! Here’s a healthy option for you and it’s called Protein Banana Nice Cream 😁. It’s actually one of the things I do which helps me stay fit and keep building muscle.
Things I do to stay fit…at age 60 😀
1. Eat Whole Foods ~ know what you’re body needs nutritionally. Protein, healthy fats, & fiber
2. Daily movement ~ Do something every day! Get your heart rate up a few days a week and go for a walk on top of it. Get outside 🥰
3. Active recovery ~ constant grinding of the body does your body no good, especially as we age. Take a day of rest and or try yoga. Helps prevent injuries and burnout!
4. Stay hydrated ~ half your body weight In ounces! Try starting your day with at least 16 ounces of lemon water and or apple cider vinegar before having that 1st cup of jo!
5. Incorporate strength training! The older we get the more important this is to retain muscle mass 💪
6. Try a protein powder ~ make sure it has plenty of leucine, a branch chain amino acid which helps you retain muscle while losing the fat you don’t want. If you’d like to try my favorite one from Shaklee let me know.
7. Keep life FUN ~ remember to enjoy the foods you love with INTENTION and keep having FUN!
As we get older, it’s even more important to do what we can to retain muscle. Speaking of getting older, I had my second blood draw with Inside Tracker.
Last October my inner age was 56.1 and I mentioned in this post I had a couple things I had to work on and guess what….Drum Roll👇!
In this post I mentioned one of my biggest goals was to lower my cortisol levels. To lower my levels I did my best to meditate more consistently and I doubled up on my Stress Relief Complex. I was recommended I start taking 600 milligrams (mg) ashwagandha root daily to help improve cortisol levels.
The other bio-marker I was able to lower was my fasting glucose. It was in the high 90’s which for many is not alarming, but I would like to see mine in the 80’s. By drinking Apple Cider Vinegar before each meal which I learned from the Glucose Goddess and adding in this supplement, I successfully lowered my blood sugar 👇
Inside tracker is a phenomenal tool to use if you have the funds, but you can also take this free quiz which will also help you decide on a more personalized supplement program.
The READY SET WELLNESS plan is a Holistic nutrition starter pack tailored to you.
This pack will help you have more energy, sleep better, live healthier, and feel younger.
It includes not only the your personalized multivitamins but also my favorite protein shakes so you can make this delicious nice cream.
If you are not using a good protein powder with extra leucine, I highly recommend you check into it. This one is my fave.
I actually helps you keep the muscle you have and if you need to lose fat, it’s highly effective. The French Vanilla Flavor is my fave but recently I have been loving the new Strawberry Açaí 👇
If you have frozen bananas and a tiny bit of non dairy milk (or any kind of liquid) and a good quality protein powder, fresh greens also highly recommended, then you can make banana nice cream.
