Let’s talk about the Shamrock Shake. It’s a seasonal favorite, but the versions you find at fast-food chains often come loaded with sugar, artificial flavors, and who knows what else. But fear not, my friends, because I’ve got a recipe that will not only satisfy your Shamrock Shake cravings but will also nourish your body from the inside out.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Your favorite clean and safe protein powder (I’ll tell you more about mine in a bit)
- 1/4 cup Greek unsweetened yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax
- 1 tablespoon nut butter
- Two large handfuls of fresh spinach
- 1/8 teaspoon or a few drops of organic peppermint extract
- Unsweetened almond milk or water (or a combination of both)
- 1/2 a banana (preferably green-tipped)
- 1/2 a date for added sweetness (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
Now, let’s talk about that protein powder:

THE BEST HEALTHY SHAMROCK PROTEIN SHAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- Vanilla Protein Powder ~ I used this one
- 1/4 cup Greek unsweetened yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax
- 1 tablespoon nut butter
- 2 large handfuls of fresh spinach
- 1/8 teaspoon or a few drops of organic peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup or more Unsweetened almond milk or water (or a combination of both)
- 1/2 a banana (preferably green-tipped)
- 1/2 a date for added sweetness (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
- Top with Cacao nib (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Throw all your ingredients in a high speed blender
- Blend till smooth adding additional water to desired consistency
- Top with a sprinkling of cacao nibs.
